MHEC has frequent consulting opportunities for professionals across the Asian region, specifically in Sri Lanka, and welcomes individual consultants who are interested in working with us. Assignments range from several months to several years. Individuals with at least 10 years' experience in their field are encouraged to send their CV for consideration on our projects.

Graduate engineers, interns and trainees are always encouraged to pursue higher education, professional qualifications and research. MHEC provides sponsorships and the leave needed during employment or training.
Beyond engineering, staff build interpersonal, communication, presentation and leadership skills by working as field supervisors and coordinators on their projects.
Employee welfare and recreation are supported alongside professional development, and a well-organised library of books and reports, in print and digital form, is open to every trainee for study and work.
